James Baublitz is Senior Vice President, Capital Markets, for First Home Mortgage Corporation. James joined First Home in 2021 from Black Knight Financial where he was Managing Director, Pipeline Analytics within Black Knight’s Secondary Marketing Technologies division. Previously, James was a partner with Compass Analytics, one of the industry’s largest hedge advisors, before its sale to Black Knight in 2019. James oversees First Home’s capital markets strategy including pipeline management, product development and post-closing departments and has over fifteen years of capital markets experience. James also teaches capital markets education sessions for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and is co-founder of Panoramic Capital Academy, the mortgage industry’s premier provider of advanced capital markets education courses. James lives with his family in Baltimore, is a graduate of Susquehanna University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®).

Robert (Bob) Broeksmit is President and CEO of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). Bob is a senior finance executive and corporate officer with over 35 years of experience in the mortgage sector. He has directed all aspects of lending activities, including marketing, sales, operations, secondary marketing, loan servicing, and default management. He has also served as a mortgage underwriting expert testifying on many large, high-profile cases.
Prior to joining MBA in 2018, Bob served as President and Chief Operating Officer with Treliant, heading the firm’s mortgage litigation support practice. Before Treliant, Bob held senior leadership positions in the mortgage business, including fourteen years with Chevy Chase Bank (including after its purchase by Capital One), where he was Executive Vice President and President of its B.F. Saul Mortgage Company subsidiary. Bob also was a Vice President at Prudential Home Mortgage for seven years. He also held positions at Great Western Mortgage, Krupp Residential Mortgage, and The Money Store.
Bob has served as the Chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Residential Board of Governors and as a member of its Board of Directors. He is a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) and a graduate of Yale University.

Mickey has dedicated the last decade to scaling growth and production platforms, building teams, and positioning IMBs for long-term success. Her leadership experience includes progressive roles as Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, VP of National Sales, and VP of Acquisitions and Development. Her comprehensive expertise spans origination, operations, compliance, investor relations, and business development across the full mortgage lifecycle.
An active industry leader, Mickey currently serves on the Board of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia (MBAG) and is the Co-Chair of the MBA’s Independent Mortgage Banker Network Committee. Mickey is a graduate of the University of Georgia's Grady School of Journalism and Mass Communication and was recently recognized by HousingWire as a "2025 Women of Influence” and is a nominee for the MBA’s mPower Visionary Awards 2026. She is a frequent speaker and panelist at national and regional industry events, including HousingWire's "The Gathering," mPower, LendersOne, TMC, and NEMBC.
